Cookie Policy
Last updated 5 September 2026
Most cookie policies are long because most sites carry a lot of trackers. This one is short, because https://conose.ph sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies at all.
In fact this site sets no cookies. It stores two small items in your browser's local storage, both of them first-party and both of them necessary for the site to behave sensibly.
What is actually stored
| Name | Type | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| conose:joined | Local storage (not a cookie) | Remembers that you already joined the waitlist, so the form is replaced by a confirmation instead of asking again. | Until you clear your browser data. |
| conose:consent | Local storage (not a cookie) | Remembers your choice on this banner so we do not ask on every visit. | 12 months, then we ask again. |
Why there is a banner at all
Two reasons. First, so that the choice is on record before we ever add anything that needs one. Second, because Conose is about to grow: an app and an AI assistant are coming, and we would rather build the consent mechanism now than bolt it on after shipping trackers.
If you decline, nothing breaks. There is nothing non-essential to switch off today, so declining and accepting currently produce the same site. That will stop being true the day we add analytics, and on that day your recorded choice is what we will honour.
Third parties your browser contacts
Separately from storage, loading this page fetches typefaces and map tiles from other services. They do not set cookies for us, but they do see your IP address, because any request does:
| Service | What it provides | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Serves the Fraunces and Plus Jakarta Sans typefaces | IP address and browser user-agent, when the fonts are fetched |
| OpenFreeMap | Serves the vector map tiles used by the interactive map | IP address and the map tiles requested |
Changing your mind
Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer to bring the banner back and choose again. You can also clear site data in your browser, which erases everything above.
